About PLM Road Map 2012

The central theme for PLM Road Map 2012 is PLM as the Strategic Imperative: Managing Lifecycle Complexity to Drive Competitive Advantage. Now in its 19th year, PLM Road Map 2012 is the must-attend global PLM event that is designed by CIMdata's team of PLM industry thought leaders for PLM industry executives and practitioners.

For 2012 PLM Road Map continues its rich history of bringing together the best in the industry for two days of independent education in a collaborative networking environment where ideas, trends, experiences, and relationships critical to the industry can germinate and take root. Our agenda, featuring the best speakers in the business – those who are ready and willing to share the ways they have used PLM to manage lifecycle complexity in their own organizations, plus top notch networking opportunities make PLM Road Map 2012 the only PLM conference you do not want to miss.

PLM Road Map is a strategic conference focused on how companies are successfully employing PLM strategies and enabling solutions to meet challenging product development, manufacturing, and deployment issues. Attendees will be challenged to shift their current thinking to a new level in a series of presentations focusing on how PLM can be used to manage complexity that in turn can drive competitive advantage.

Most of all PLM Road Map is the only PLM event that provides you with a support network of peers and industry thought leaders that does not leave you as you head out of the door after the conference but continues throughout your PLM journey.

What You Can Expect at PLM Road Map 2012

PLM Road Map 2012 will focus on PLM as the Strategic Imperative: Managing Lifecycle Complexity to Drive Competitive Advantage. Presentations will consider why implementing PLM is so difficult, large scale PLM program governance, the data deluge, systems engineering, simulation-based design, and more.

Day 1 will start with an overview of the PLM market followed by a series of keynote presentations highlighting the experiences of leading-edge end user organizations who will share their PLM implementation experiences. The afternoon will feature three break-out sessions covering PLM Integration, Design Creation & Collaboration, and PLM Management.

Day 2 will start with three break-out sessions covering Simulation & Analysis, Systems Engineering & Digital Manufacturing, and PLM Management. During the final afternoon of the conference attendees will come together for a series of keynote presentations which will continue the discussion on managing all lifecycle processes for all product components, including software-based elements. Possible solutions to some development issues, including new product design technologies and systems engineering as a unifying discipline to bring it all together, will be suggested.
